Oracle Accelerators to midmarket

Since Microsoft started penetrating into mid-market companies Oracle & SAP are trying their best to retain this emerging markets. Any company with revenues less than $500 million can be referred as mid-market companies.

In terms of business complexities mid-market companies can be equally complex to implement ERP solutions but they don't have capacity/resources that are available with large companies.

To address this emerging market requirements Oracle is focusing on few areas:

Accelerator: Set of tools/templates to accelerate time to implement ERP solutions. Typical ERP implementations can takes 8months to 2 years, mid-markets can't afford such long durations, they look for 4months to 8months duration to implement. Oracle heavily focussing Accelerator proram to speed up the implementation with mid-market customers. Oracle partnerign with few consulting companies to sell the Accelerator solutions.

Vertical solutions: Launching industry specific software solutions like food, beverage, chemical, healthcare indutries could be easily adapted rather than generic solutions.
