Oracle posing competetion to salesforce.com with Oracle CRM On demand

Oracle released new version of CRM on demand with release 16. This is going raise threat to proven, successful CRM on demand solution Salesforce.com. The new on demand CRM solution is available $70 per user/month with a 12-month subscription.

"Oracle offers the flexibility and choice organisations need to drive measurable business results at every customer touch point," said Oracle vice president of CRM Anthony Lye.

The upgrade also contains improved forecasting and reporting capabilities that support unit-based forecasting for companies with quarters that start on days other than the first of the month, or have 13-week quarters.

With more and more companies are looking for Saas/Cloud computing based solutions the demand is on rise for on demand solutions. On demand solutions offer faster time to implement than tradition full-cycle implementations that takes months to year to go live and realize the benefits. Web based solutions also allow sales reps and partners to access from anywhere in the worlf with internet connection.
